Aryanna K. Amini, MD
Dr. Aryanna Amini is a triple board certified physician in family medicine, sports medicine and obesity medicine, who currently practices in The Woodlands, TX. The oldest of four siblings, she has always enjoyed taking care of others, and from a young age she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Growing up as an athlete she enjoyed learning about fitness and nutrition, so finding a niche in medicine where she could continue those interests has allowed her to connect to patients in all walks of life at various fitness levels. Having lived in other countries during her high school and college years, she developed a love for travel and enjoys other cultures and foods. She learned Spanish and Portuguese, and is in the process of duolingo-ing her way through the Italian language.
After completing her undergraduate degree at LSU, she pursued a masters degree in biomedical sciences at UNT before obtaining her medical degree from Texas A&M. During her residency at Memorial Family Medicine Program in Houston, she met her future husband who was also interested in sports medicine. She went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at JPS, and she later completed and became board certified in obesity medicine. After finishing her medical training, she married her co-resident, and after he completed his fellowship they opened a private practice clinic together in The Woodlands - Houston Health & Sports Medicine. They now have two children under 2.5 years old, a girl and a boy, and they can still be found traveling as a family of four in their free time. Her interests include exercise prescription, food as medicine, and preventive medicine through the ages. Outside of medicine she also enjoys cooking, baking, exercise, spending time with her family, trying new restaurants, and trying her hand at design/ creating art.
